Android Should ABANDON Buttons!
You know what people usually do with hot takes? Incinerate them.
"Android should abandon buttons." Yeah, screw those intuitive buttons, right?
"If iPhone users can understand swipe gestures, why can't Android users?" Because Android users have more options, and more options are always better.
"Swipes are just so much more intuitive." That's your subjective philosophical point of view, my dude.
"Of course it's good to have a choice, but only if that is justified." It is justified to have both, actually.
"It's old already. Buttons are obsolete." They are not obsolete. There are still many people that use them.
"We can't make our smart phones to be dumb phones." Actually, yes, we can. A lot of smartphones can be used in a "dumb" way, as in a simplistic way, because old people are dumb with technologies. That's fine. There's nothing wrong with accommodating more people to smartphones. Those "dumb" options are still being used by 70% of users. Good on you, people, and this is speaking as a gesture user.
"My take is to get rid of obsolete options and reach out for new, modern solutions." That's a garbage take. Options are always better, especially ones that don't harm anyone.
