Animal Crossing: Making a New Start, & Train Ride to a little town called "YourDick"
Jontron borrowed some my footage for his top ten bosses video regarding Tom Nook in Animal Crossing.
Beginning a new game in Animal Crossing:
Your finally leaving the comforts of home to forge an exciting life on your own. Having your own place provides you with the freedom you've always wanted but also demands responsibility. You'll need a little helping hand from the many friends you'll meet. Your actions and relationships with the villagers impact your home village greatly, so do your best to build a happy community.
Meet K.K. Slider and Rover:
Your greeted by the infamous guitar strumming pup which will introduce you to the game and allow you to either jump in immediately or choose your somewhat limited options before taking the plunge into a new world.
On the train, you encounter Rover the cat? Yes a cat named Rover. Amoung the curious curiosity, Rover will begin asking questions, getting into your business poking his cute non existant nose. Amoung the various questions, you'll answer about the date and time, Your name, the town's name your moving to, some of the questions determine how your character will look and also their gender (boy / girl, male / female). Be warned though, the final question asking about your money. Choosing option one (1) will make your appearance random aside from the gender you've chosen. Choosing Option two (2) will use the answers given to generate your facial appearance.
Tom Nook a friend?!
Rover calls his friend Nook to help you out, Tom then greets you as you step off the train station steps and takes you to the four available houses for sale. After much talk and no voice acting, Tom allows you to move around and pick the house you want to live in, first come first serve you know. Of the four vacant houses and you likely being the first newcomer to the village, you may choose which one you like so long as it isn't occupied. Once you make a deal with Nook he asks for the money after rambling on and on. Turns out you don't have enough to pay, so Nook jumps at the thought of slave labor, or working off your debt to him being a "part-timer" at his shop Nook's Cranny.
Animal Crossing, known as Dōbutsu no Mori (どうぶつの森, lit. Animal Forest?) in Japan, is a life simulation video game developed by Nintendo EAD and published by Nintendo. It was first released in Japan for the Nintendo 64 on April 14, 2001. Due to limited sales because of the drastically decreasing N64 market, the game went unreleased for the N64 outside of Japan and was ported to the Nintendo GameCube in Japan on December 14, 2001; North America on September 15, 2002; Australia on October 17, 2003; and Europe on September 24, 2004. The Japanese GameCube version lacks e-Reader support, a feature found in the North American and Australian versions. A version of Animal Crossing was released in Japan with e-Reader support on June 27, 2003.
A Nintendo DS follow-up, Animal Crossing: Wild World, was released in December 2005. A second follow-up for the Wii, Animal Crossing: City Folk, was announced by Nintendo at Nintendo's E3 2008 press conference, and is planned for release on November 16, 2008.
