Yes, my local folks I completely finished up Animaniacs 2020. I watched all 13 episodes back to back and I enjoy it a lot. Furthermore, I did follow the OG version of Animaniacs along with many of Spielberg's cartoons.

In addition, I will name off the episodes to avoid watching because. They'll be in my con section. Enough with the foolish talk let's jump into the wackiness.

Quick Summary: The Animaniacs 2020 aka Animaniacs Revival is bringing back the Warner siblings Yakko, Wakko, and Dot. The lovable lab rats Pinky and the Brain include for this recent journey.

Good:
1. The original cast from the 90s is here ranging from Rob Paulsen as Yakko Warner, Pinky and Dr. Scratchansniff, Jess Harnell as Wakko Warner, Tress MacNeille as Dot. Then you have Warner, Maurice LaMarche as Brain, Frank Welker as Ralph T. Guard, Stephanie Escajeda as Nora Rita Norita.

Everybody performs does, a brilliant job of accurately portraying their respective oddball character. You can tell the actors were enjoying themselves.

There's proper weight behind the character's dialogue and the punchlines they accurately deliver.

2. The new animation exceedingly delightful. We both know this animation won't replace the 90s art style. However, Animaniacs 2020 animation does a good job of making the characters flexible and organic simultaneously.

The action and or slapstick aren't choppy but smooth. Whenever a character inflicts bodily harm to another character. You can note the precise detail of the direct aftermath, but the facial expression before they get promptly handles the part.

3. The jokes to me are extremely hilarious. I don't overthink most of the jokes, so it's straightforward to enjoy. The Animaniacs talk about everybody including themselves.

They talk about politics, celebrities, social media, and society itself. I won't tell you who gets the worst of it, but it's three people. Two are real people and the third represents a fictional character. I'll depart from there.

4. Musical songs are pleasant, and it sparks back memories of the OG Animaniacs. It won't replace the previous musical numbers, but it's a pleasant stand-in.

The opening song, I like a lot, and the rhythm of the new lyrics mixing with the classical score of Animaniacs.

Cons:

1. Some jokes will sorely miss their mark because. The episode of the said critical topic will overstay its welcome fast. Awful gags will make the episode tiresome to complete.

They'll run that same awful joke to the ground but in slow motion.

You'll notice fast the gag lacks substance or poor execution.

2. A bad opening joke/sketch will completely ruin the whole episode. It's unjustified because the second and third sketches would be funny, but you'll remember the first sketch more.

At that time you bitterly how you felt about the opening sketch which inadvertently brings down everything if the said sketch was boring.

3. If the entire segment idea falls flat. You'll end up with many boring jokes. Starting from the opening sketch, Pinky & the Brain sketch, and final sketch you would think should prematurely end on a fierce note. Lamentably, the ending sketch represents the most dreadful part to sit through.

4. I appreciate the show producing unknown characters, but there's a couple of boring new characters. The dull characters are exactly like the feeble jokes that will irretrievably ruin the whole episode personally.

The minor episodes to merely avoid watching and the critical reason why:

Episode 4: Bunny
Episode 8: Boring jokes with boring modern characters
Episode 11: The Halloween Segment

Score: High Matinée

All things considered, I dearly enjoy this modern revival of Animaniacs 2020. The prolific voice actors are undoubtedly slaying it on the mic because.

They genuinely enjoy performing those fictional characters. Along with delivering jokes towards everyone and everything based in the real world. Intruding new characters is fun because passively watching the Warner siblings face off against unknown enemies.

However, the animated show isn't perfect. You'll merely run into an odd lot of awful wisecracks aka boring jokes that lack substance or terrible execution. Some current characters can be just as bad as the jokes. Boring jokes along with boring characters can tragically kill a whole episode.

At the end of season one ended on a high note. I naturally have a good feeling season 2 will be crazier than season 1. Plus, they might bring back more memorable characters from the OG.

I'm overjoyed they focus more on the Warner brothers and sisters and Pinky & the Brain. I hope the show gets renewed for another season. If you're a huge Animaniacs fan like I am. I recommended this show for you, but maintain your expectations low and realistic.
Ratings:
Fuck You (Bullshit City)
Some Ole Bullshit (Boring as Hell)
