there are English subtitles for the cutscenes, turn on captions to view them. Thanks also to popfan95b for providing subs for the opening song:

60fps available!

So, originally, this playthrough had subtitles provided by annotations, thanks to the efforts of Ácido Cinza:

However, since Youtube has removed annotations, these can't be viewed on this video any more. But Kiddo Cabbusses managed to save them and upload them on a separate video, so if you want to see the original subtitles set, check out his video:

Annet Futatabi was released in 1993 for the Mega CD, but only in Japan. The game is the sequel to El Viento on the Genesis. Annet Meiya is the main character in this scrolling beat 'em up game which is sadly one of the worst in the genre.

The default difficulty for the game is the "easy" setting, I moved it up to "hard", although I don't actually know if this changes anything at all. This game really does feel like a beta version, with clearly all of the effort going into the cutscenes and music rather than the gameplay.

Some general notes about the stages:

Stage 1 -the green solider guys seem to be the only enemies in the game that are capable of causing friendly fire, as seen at the very start of the stage where one uppercuts a knight. I imagine this is a bug rather than intentional, but who knows.

Stage 3 - 13:45 marks the laggiest part of the game. 5 enemy sprites on the screen at once! How ever will the poor Mega CD cope?! This stage also has the easiest boss in the game. I mean, I presume that when he twirls his club over his head it was supposed to hurt Annet, but it doesn't, so you can just trap him in the corner and spam jump kicks all day.

Stage 5 -they re-used the stage 4 boss for this stage. Lazy.

Stage 6 -I thought it was impossible to beat this boss without taking damage, as he always seems to do a jump kick you can't avoid when the fight starts. But I saw this video from Shadowserg which shows you can avoid it:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ulo-Pw7RYsA&t=15m32s
If you press the attack button whilst falling, Annet does her jump kick, which makes her fall a little faster and gives her just enough time to jump out of the way.

Stage 7 -the boss of this stage is really annoying, as if it's dashing, Annet can't hurt it at all, but it can hurt Annet. And it dashes 95% of the time. So it just takes forever to beat.

Popfan95b pointed out that even though Zigfried throws Earnest the pendant, he's still shown holding it a few seconds later (at 44:03). I guess the artists didn't feel like re-drawing his arm.

Stage 9 -this boss is also annoying, just because of the dog head things protecting it. It's really difficult to tell if these are going to hurt Annet or not so you just have to get lucky. Note that I probably died at the end -when the boss died, the dog heads still have collision, and hit Annet. Annet didn't scream though so she might have had a little health left, I can't tell. Thankfully the cutscene triggered before the continue screen did.

When you fight the last boss, it has two different life bar icons. The first one appears when you fight it, but the icon doesn't look like the boss you are fighting. The second one appears when you beat the boss, and it changes to what the boss looked like.

However, as Ácido Cinza pointed out to me, look at the boss sprite when it gets beaten -it starts flashing so it's a little hard to see, but the sprite actually completely changes to something else, something that the first icon was showing! This is what the boss looks like under the armor...Wolf Team must have gotten the life bar icons mixed up. Maybe originally the final boss was meant to have two forms? Who knows.
