Anthem. Building your first javelin - things you really need to know. Combo, Damage Type and Effects
14There are some very basic things that you need to know before you even try your first javelin build, starting with how to maximize damage but utilizing combos - first you prime enemy with any ability that has circle icon and then you detonate with any ability that has 4 point star icon. Then you must really start using consumables if you have a hard time keeping up with enemies, those will boost up to 3 different stats by 30% (if you use epic ones) and can be crafted/equipped when you are inside your javelin preparing for new expedition, consumables will only last for 1 expedition.
Damage types and their effects:
[Elemental] Fire: Damage over time. +25% against armor, -25% against shields.
[Elemental] Ice: Freezes enemies. +25% against shields, -25% against armor.
[Elemental] Electricity/Lightning: Damage spreads to nearby enemies. +50% against shields, -50% against armor.
[Physical] Acid does +50% damage against armor, -50% against shields.
[Physical] Melee Affects both your melee attack and melee skills.
[Physical] Guns Mostly Impact damage, Grenades do Blast damage.
