Fantasy Zone: The Maze is a spin-off from the main series of the same name. Featuring Opa Opa from the series of the same name, Fantasy Zone is a comical, fantasy puzzle game very similar to Pac Man. Fantasy Zone: The Maze however, has a very Fantasy Zone feel, featuring a total of seven worlds seen in previous games and the series in general.
Fantasy Zone: The Maze has it's differences to Pac Man, despite it's appearance. Opa Opa collects coins in each stage, which acts as currency to buy power-ups in the stage. These range from various guns, to speed boosts, to invincibility. Enemies can spawn from a portal, which can be touched to stall it and prevent more enemies appearing on stage. Enemies also behave more erratically, getting stronger and faster over time if not killed off.
Fantasy Zone: The Maze is a game worth playing if you like puzzle games, and the Pac Man and Fantasy Zone series in general. Feel free to enjoy gaming footage of me playing through the first world of Fantasy Zone: The Maze. Including a bonus level at the end.
