AoE4 campaign: The Normans: Hard difficulty playthrough: North to York (Part 2)
0The 2nd scenario in the Normans Campaign.
This is nothing special. No tricks or gimmicks in this one. Feels like a scenario where you learn to ride without training wheels. (The first scenario was all training wheels)
Ideally, you'll quickly capture the first city. Use the reinforcements you get to quickly march on to the second city and capture that one. Here you'll want to build a few military buildings and get your economy running so you can bolster your military might.
You only need to do three things:
1) Destroy the Danish camp to the west. You can send gold but i think it's better to just outright eliminate them. There are a few treasure chests you can grab as well.
2) Grab the upgrade that allows you to build battering rams on the field from the blacksmith. I forget its name. Build 2-3 of them.
3) Recapture York.
To recapture York you may need a few assaults, but after you've broken through the front, attack again with rams going for the tower. The enemy AI seems to ignore them in favour of the army.
