I play mainly as sniper in APB Reloaded, so I thought I'd give you some information about the normal HVR which you buy from in-game NPCS, and the ARMAS HVR Scout PR 1.\n\nThe normal HVR does more damage per shot. It also has a bigger clip size (6) but less ammo capacity (18) than the Scout.\n\nThe Scout does less damage per shot. It has a smaller clip size (5) but more ammo capacity (25) than the normal HVR.\n\nThe HVR Scout has faster target acquisition and allows you to run while moving. However it also has less recoil and allows you to fire while strafing.\n\nCrouching makes no difference for a sniper from an accuracy viewpoint, you are just a bit harder to hit, but you also react slower if someone throws you a grenade because you have to stand up, and then run. That is, if you are using a Scout. If you are using a normal HVR, it becomes: stand up, swap weapon, run. Of course you should crouch if you need cover.\n\nI forgot to capture it in this video, but crouching up and down quickly does not affect your crosshair that much (almost nothing at all), so that's not an indication that the sniper is cheating. If he can hit you repeatedly when hopping up, it's simply because the crosshair lands exactly on the same spot once he's standing. It also means you hardly moved away from his line of fire.\n\nIn the first part of the video, you will be able to see the difference in the recoil. In the second part of the video, you will see that it's fairly easy to shoot by standing still with both weapons, although the normal HVR requires more manual correction from the player to shoot on the same spot. The Scout, on the other hand, allows you to shoot while standing still AND strafing.\n\nIf a sniper with a normal HVR CONSISTENTLY hits you while strafing (it can happen once or twice, it isn't impossible) you might want to follow him for the next few missions and record him, as he may be cheating.\n\nIt's hard to identify snapping for a sniper, as he can just release the right mouse button to move the sniper faster and then zoom in on a target. After shooting, your character will still be looking downsight for a few seconds even after you released the button, and people around you can't tell whether the button was released or not. Also because of the reload animation after each shot, it's really hard to tell if he actually aimbot-snapped, or did so manually (unless the angle is really wide).\n\nIf you liked this video you can follow me on http://www.srsgamerz.com/
