I nabbed just about every monkey that I could in my first run through this stage, but I couldn't get them all before reaching Specter, just like in Code C.H.I.M.P.
One of the two remaining monkeys is more of a semi-secret: The Megamonkey. I think he only appears after you beat Specter, and he makes himself out as the most powerful ape in the game. Or at least after Specter, himself, that is. The Megamonkey appears in one of the areas near an exit that you should've already gone through, before. Just keep smashing his armor off, and he'll nothing but a helpless naked monkey, who turns out to be one of the sad-faced ones that usually wear light-blue pants! HA!
The other monkey I needed to find, the final one and an actual secret one, is very VERY late in this stage, in the first area where the music changes. Most of the rest of my time in this level involves me getting to that, which is kind of a drag. This monkey is sealed, but when you free him, he's just a normal yellow pants monkey. Nothing more, nothing less.
If you followed this playthrough up to this point, you should have all 300 monkeys in the entire game!
