After getting all of the treasure of the game, go back to Crunch Time to have a rematch against Crunch, Cortex, and Uka Uka.

Sadly, just like in Crash Bandicoot: Warped, nothing changes in this boss battle. The difference only occurs after you've won against them. So quickly kick their butts so see what that is.

It's kinda confusing, due to an unplanned and rushed change in the game's script. Although Crash was mostly hitting Cortex for damage, and shooting Crunch from a long distance, the cutscene shows that Crunch was knocked out near where Crash was in the battle.

Cortex whines once again in the exact same tone and animation as before that Crash always defeats him. Uka Uka's patience with Cortex has finally run out, and now he wants to fry him to ashes. Cortex dodges Uka's energy blast, but it ends up destroying a crucial part of his space station, starting a countdown to self-destruct. Whoops...

When Crunch wakes up, it turns out that he was brainwashed by Cortex this entire time, just like what Cortex intended for Crash in the very first game. After creating and brainwashing Crunch, Cortex then used the Elementals on him against his will order force him to finally kill Crash. Too bad for Cortex, that never happened.

Aku Aku, realizing this, decides to bring Crunch back home with him and Crash. Luckily, Coco also made it in time with a spaceship so that Aku Aku and all 3 bandicoots could return back to the Earth while Cortex and Uka Uka got away through an escape pod.

Back at the home of the Bandicoots, Crunch, no longer the menacing intimidating monster that Cortex wanted him to be, now shows a more grateful and benevolent side to him, thanking Crash, Coco, and Aku Aku for their efforts and for rescuing him from Cortex's grasp. He will now live with them all as a new member of the Bandicoot family, and will likely serve as a "big brother" of sorts to both of the orange bandicoots.

Coco wonders if that's the last the bandicoots will ever see of Dr. Neo Cortex and the evil mask Uka Uka. Aku Aku, savvy as ever, doubts such a case.

We're then shown that Cortex and Uka Uka's escape pod landed them in the middle of nowhere in Antarctica. Uka Uka gets so angry at Cortex that he continues to try frying him.

Cortex once again swears revenge on Crash Bandicoot with another heaping of his wrath, assuming he survives Uka's own wrath, that is...

THE END
--------------

My my! With how Crunch turned out, the Crash Bandicoot series just made another analogy to the Sonic the Hedgehog series. THINK ABOUT IT!

- This series started off with a hero being an anthropomorphic animal with attitude (Crash/Sonic) who is of a species that doesn't get covered very often anywhere else (bandicoot/hedgehog), and quickly becomes a killer app for his company to compete against Nintendo's Mario for platforming dominance (Sony/Sega).

- This mascot has to constantly do battle against an evil mad scientist (Cortex/Eggman). This mad scientist is more often than not looking for special rocks in order use their power to take over the world (Crystals & Gems/Chaos Emeralds).

- The game's first sequel introduces a cute popular sidekick who, among other skills, is really smart and can fly planes, and may (or may not) actually be related to the hero, or wishes to be close to him as such. This sibling-sidekick eventually gets to stand out on their own without the need of their hero (Coco/Tails).

- Later on, the hero and his sidekick must face against a powerful enemy who is actually being controlled by the mad scientist. When he is finally defeated, he eventually joins the hero's side as their most physically-powerful ally (Crunch/Knuckles).

If this all wasn't on purpose, then I don't know what was!

So thanks for watching this extensively playthrough that I've made of a rather-underwhelming Crash game. Not everyone liked it as much as the Naughty Dog platformers, but I consider it among my favorites in Crash. I could eventually make a playthrough of Crash Team Racing, but I also want watch out for that N-Sane Trilogy that's on the Playstation 4. Although those will be of remade versions of the Naughty Dog platformer trio, they have new things going for them that will still make them different experiences to play compared to their PS1 originals.

Stay tuned for anything Crash related that I may make in the future, and once again, thanks for watching!
