Apex Legends on Xbox One X has some interesting frametime performance. Overall, gameplay runs relatively near a "smooth" 60FPS, but there are times of severe spikes during combat. This becomes most noticeable with Creeping Barrage, for instance, or with some smoke and post processing effects. Dropping in Apex Legends also produces some noticeable frame drops to 30FPS, but this is short-lived for the drop sequence. FOV increases can increase the strain on the system as more of the environment is drawn, but isn't as bad as you might expect. Watch our Xbox One X benchmark of Apex Legends for in-depth framerate testing and benchmarks on the console.
