APPAM RECIPE
Ingredients for batter:
▪︎ 1 small bowl tur dal.
▪︎1 small bowl chana dal.
▪︎1 small bowl masur dal.
▪︎1 small bowl moong dal.
▪︎1 small bowl urad dal.
▪︎2 big bowl rice .
▪︎6 to 7 cloves of garlic.
▪︎1/2 inch ginger.
▪︎salt as per taste.
Method:
1. Soak dals in one container and rice in different container for about 4 to 5 hours.
2. Grind all dals , rice , garlic and ginger...make paste....add salt to this batter....as per taste. Just like an idli batter.
3. Cover it with lid and keep it for fermenting for about 6 to 7 hours. Or overnight.
4. Take a pan for appam as shown in the video...apply oil or ghee...and add the batter...fry it cover it with a lid for about 3 to 4 min ..until golden brown...flip it.and your appam is ready to serve with chutney.
