It’s still quite a while until Spotify adds AirPlay 2 support to its iOS app, but the company is still “working to make [it] a reality,” the company tells The Verge. I don’t want to call it petty, however… Spotify already supports Google Cast, so omitting Apple’s newest streaming protocol would seem odd. As Spotify has its own method of delivering audio from its service to other devices called Spotify Connect, it would seem odd to skip Apple’s newest streaming protocol.
