AR Visor Prototype with Occipital CORE Technology
Very early demo of an AR visor with a 2560x1440 screen, 100 FOV and Occipital CORE 6DOF tracking technology. This is an early video of a smartphone placed in the location one would look into the visor an recorded at 720P
The image panel refreshes at 60Hz, with the Occipital tracking at up to 240 fps. Currently the sensor is set for 30 fps, but this should be up to 120 fps by the next test video in a few days. Occipital is also working on porting their iOS Bridge SDK to Windows, giving the developer the same tools as they have in working with the Bridge headset. More to come as I also attach the CORE to the Dreamworld Dreamglass , that will not only provide hand tracking, but also 6DOF in compact energy efficient package that can be used with the "VR Belt NUC" or the upcoming "Hades VR Pack"
