So here's my strat for level 1. The timing in every room on difficulty 6 is incredibly tight because the enemies are so insanely aggressive and damaging. There is also almost no health recovery on max difficulty, so it is very important to make it past this level with full health. As a result, there are some rooms that are a bit "safer" than necessary.

The biggest problems in this are at the very end. That last wave with the 3 dark rats and 1 electric mace pig is really dangerous because they have very very little hitstun and because their behavior after being squashed is somewhat random. Positioning myself at the very top works well here because the rats tend to try to circle around me counter-clockwise, which brings them to the top row in line with me. In the bottom row, they sneak up behind me and kill me.

General Slaughter is really really easy. He takes 10 smash hits to kill, so I do 4 headbutts to the right, one anvil to the left, and then 5 more headbutts. If I hit him 9 times and then boot him, he will not die. This is the fastest way to kill him.

I am unsure if I'll ever run this on 6/6 difficulty, but at the very least practicing it will make 4/6 difficulty easier.
