With the release of VRC's Renault R25 and McLaren MP4/20, I asked a question. Many of us talk about "accuracy" regarding sim racing mods, yet we never seem to provide any justification for our judgments of "accurate" or "inaccurate." Is it possible to come up with some sort of objective measure of accuracy? What is it? Can a mod measure up? Let's find out.

We use VRC’s 2005 cars for this particular exercise, but the methodology here can be applied to any type of car.

Nota Bene: Yes, Fernando Alonso's P2 time at San Marino was 1:19.889 - there is a typo after the R25 run at Imola. Additionally, Giancarlo Fisichella set a lap time of 1:22.068 in qualifying for the Italian Grand Prix - again, there is a typo after the R25 run at Monza.
