Hi guys today we are going to talk about what I consider to be one of the most useful dinosaurs in Ark Survival Evolved Scorched Earth, The Morrellatops, and the top 5 things that you can use them for.

The Morrelatops is a Dinosaur that is available exclusively in the Scorched Earth expansion. They are herbivores and are generally a passive Dino that will run away when attacked, If there is another Morellatops in the immediate vicinity however they will fight back. They can be knocked out with fists and often get themselves stuck in mountain sides whilst running away so they can make a pretty easy tame and you can unlock the Engram for their Saddles at Level 15.

Lets get into the top 5 uses for the Morrelatops

Berry Gatherer
The Morrelatops makes for a super efficient Berry gatherer. This can be useful for gathering berries for an early game food source but more specifically for collecting Narcoberries Just Saddle up your morrelatops, jump on and start attacking bushes. I have a whole guide on fast Narcoberry gathering which I will annotate out too and using this method i have found it possible to gather more than 100 in less than a minute.

Water Tank
The Morellatops has the ability to store 750 units of water, This allows the player to essentially have a portable water tank which in the harsh environment of Scorched Earth can be really useful. The Morellatops can be filled up by attacking cacti or drinking the water from water sources. The player is able to drink directly from the Morrellatops and can also fill up water containers by placing them in the Dinos inventory and then selecting the option from the menu.

Wood Gatherer
There are a number of different types of bushes available in scorched earth, most provide the player with berries. The small tree looking bushes however yield wood and when attacked by a morrelatops give a large amount very quickly. I have a guide on this that I will annotate out to but this is the fastest way that i have found to gather wood.

Early Game Mount
As the saddle can be unlocked at level 15 the Morrelatops can make a very effective early game mount. They are quite a fast herbivore and have decent attack and base carrying capacity. The Morrelatops is by no means the best at any of these things but makes a great all rounder for beginners.

Thatch Gatherer
On top of wood and berries the Morrelatops also makes a great thatch gatherer. When attacking Cacti it will not only refill its water tank and gather sap but will also gather thatch at an effective rate.
