Who will play Batman? That is the million dollar question. The casting speculation is starting to heat up and while we don't have any confirmation from the studio on what direction they will go with the Dark Knight's character, we do know one actor that ISNT really interested in the job, and that is Armie Hammer. Hammer most recently starred in Disney's The Lone Ranger, and while that movie performed less than stellar at the box office(to put it lightly), Armie Hammer did gain quite a bit of popularity from it. Enough so that his name has been included on many peoples list of Batman potentials. Well, if he's on YOUR list, I wouldn't get your hopes up. Hammer will actually start working along side Henry Cavill (aka Superman) this September in a new action comedy called The Man from UNCLE, and that may be a reason he would turn down the project. During an interview with Metro, he was asked if he would be interested in suiting up for Batman the actor jokingly said quote ""I think if Henry and I did that film and then a superhero film straight after, people might start to wonder about us ..." He continued saying quote "I'm not actually a big fan of superhero films. If you have a guy who is supposed to be invulnerable, then what's the point?" Well, Armie Hammer, have you even seen a superhero film? I think we're going to have to tweet him a couple of episodes of Fanboy Faceoff, because he clearly has no clue. But whats ironic about this is that Armie Hammer initially was supposed to play Batman in Warner Bros planned Justice League movie back in 2008, but that failed to launch. Well from what we are hearing, Zack Snyder probably wouldn't even consider Armie Hammer in the first place and that's because according to Batman On Film, we should expect our future Batman to be much older than Superman, possibly being in his 40s. And should appear as someone who is a seasoned veteran. Henry Cavil hinted at this in my interview with him at Comic Con. When I asked him who he would like to see cast as Batman, he said that it would depend on if the studio would want a younger or older version, which basically means this has been discussed before. And if you haven't seen me fangirl out yet in that interview with Henry, you can catch it down in the description. Some names that are being tossed around on the internet include Gerard Butler, Jude Law, Josh Duhamel, Josh Brolin, Joh Hamm, Ben Affleck, Brad Pitt and even Jim Caviezel, but what names are on your 40 and older list? And would you be excited to see an older batman going up against a younger Supe?
