My S-rank attempt for Take the Uninhabited Floating City, recorded in version 1.03.1. I believe the biggest S-rank criteria for this mission is that the Xylem Control Tower can't take any damage at all, so basically, the shield has to remain intact. To accomplish this, you'll need a build with speed and endurance to take down the enemy units, and also know where enemies are spawning from. Do not activate the plasma cannons immediately, since they only run for around a minute. Activate them either before engaging with the snipers, or before dealing with the suicide drones. Also, to deal with the suicide drones, I find it easiest to use one of your shield expansions while in front of the tower. I deployed mine when the drones were around 450m away, but as you can see, quite a few got through, so I'd deploy when they're 600m - 700m to nab more of them.
Dual Hu-Ben gatling guns are my weapon of choice to deal with enemies near me, and dual Stun Needles are used as my long-range weapon. While nerfed, they'll still one-shot the LC snipers, which are useful since they station themselves across the map.
Since there are towers and spread-out enemies, I used the Spring Chicken legs for the jump height. To deal with the load of the heavy weapons while also maintaining good Core generator and booster stats, I chose to use the IB-C03C HAL 826 core. The Nachtreiher/46E Arms were used for their weight and Firearms Specialization stat. The Shade Eye was my choice of Head because it just looks so cool. Buerzel boosters and the Coral generator round-out the build so I have lots of EN for assault-boosting around the map.
