This Artificer Xy'mox boss guide will show you the Artificer Xy'mox abilities that you'll see in the Normal, Heroic and LFR versions of the Artificer Xy'mox fight. Mythic Artificer Xy'mox has additional mechanics not shown in this Normal and Heroic Artificer Xy'mox guide. Footage of Artificer Xy'mox for this boss guide is from PTR raid testing and some mechanics may look different or change when the Castle Nathria raid releases on live servers starting December 8th.
The key to Artificer Xy'mox in Phase One is placing the Dimensional Tear wormholes in smart places so that they're effective for dealing with other mechanics. Generally speaking, you can place one wormhole near the boss and a second one on a room edge. Anyone can walk into one portal to come out the other end, and you'll do that to manage several mechanics in this fight.
The tank needs to swap after Glyph of Destruction, and the tank that just got Glyphed needs to run far from the raid to safely explode. Against the Fleeting Spirit adds in Phase One, targets just need to run- you'll know it's on you if a green beam connects it to you, you cannot kill it and it'll despawn after 11 seconds. An add is only dangerous to it's fixated target. The add is very fast, so the wormhole will likely be needed to help you kite.
In Phase Two, players will need to relocate seed bombs to a pre-selected side of the room, likely making use of wormholes to do so quickly. In Phase Three, you'll need to use a wormhole to escape the Edge of Annihilation AOE that you're being dragged into. There's also a variety of unavoidable damage to be healed through.
