Today I am going to be showing you some ASMR while exploring an old book from the 1800's. We are going to talk about the history of books especially during the 19th century. We also touch on Penny Dreadfuls, Dime Novels, and more. This 1870 book (this particular copy was printed in 1898 I believe) was written by William Taylor Adams, a noted academic, author, and member of the Massachusetts State of Representatives. His pseudonym was Oliver Optic among many others. I'll explain more about his life and this very old book. We will hear the soft spoken and whispered narration, with the gentle sounds of pages turning.
