This, by far, was the hardest part of Assassin's Creed Rogue - the final "epic legendary" naval battle. It took me about half a dozen tries before I finally completed it by a hair's breadth (if that ship had finished charging...)

I reckon it makes for pretty epic viewing too. That part at 3:55 came as a complete shock to me whilst playing - I actually jumped, haha.

Granted, my strat could undoubtedly use some work - I barely used burning barrels, and there's a few times I should have fired round shots but didn't, and a couple instances where I mistimed my ram speed boost, but hey, I survived!
I think the key is keeping close to the Storm Fortress - those broadside cannons seem to do the same damage up close as they do at outer mortar range - and spam round shots. Heavy shot seems pointless; round shot is almost always better, and you have unlimited ammo. And save about half of your mortar ammo for the two other ships that come when the biggie is on low health.

And I know AC Rogue came out a few years ago, but I've got a bit of a backlog, yeah? The AC games are always worth checking out anyway.

The video was taken with Nvidia ShadowPlay - the gameplay segment was conveniently just under 5 minutes so I could capture it retroactively.
