This week I've chosen another installment in the Assassin's Creed franchise, because it actually runs pretty well, but it needs a couple of tweaks I wanted to share with you.
The game itself runs perfectly fine, but, when you try to enter the main menu, it tries to initialize online services and then... it just closes.
So the solution in this case is to start the Uplay client in offline mode (Settings - Network - Always start Uplay in offline mode). And, while you're at it, you should go to General settings and disable in-game overlay, because it improves the performance a bit.

Distro: Ubuntu 19.04
Proton: 4.2.9
CPU: Intel Core i7-8700K @ 3.70GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080
GPU Driver: NVIDIA 430.26
RAM: 16 GB

Tweaks: Disabled Uplay overlay and started Uplay in offline mode
