The Banner Saga on Linux (Proton)
0This one is a very peculiar case, because The Banner Saga used to have a Linux version initially, but it didn't work very well, so that must be the reason why the second and the third parts of the sage weren't released for Linux at all and then removed the Linux version of this one from Steam.
Still I managed to finish the game several times without any problems back in 2016 by using the experimental Linux fix.
That's why I was curious to learn how The Banner Saga works with Proton. And it actually works very well. So well that there is no reason to be missing the native Linux version.
The game itself is very entertaining, but also very challenging so there is no shame in lowering the difficulty, if you're not an experienced gamer.
Still this is a game I recommend to everyone who appreciates some challenge.
