Assault Android Cactus: A guide to beating Justice (Advanced)
Assault Android Cactus (PC/Steam), Early Access Version 140527
(note: I hit the character limit, so I'm going to have to condense some stuff, or refer you to the video descriptions of the other videos. Sorry about that. =/ )
WHAT IS THIS VIDEO?
This video is a guide to help you beat stage 3-5 (Justice) for the first time. It is not a guide on how to S+ him or get a high score... just to beat him. =)
(see description in Beginner video for more info)
Anyway, let me know (post in the comments) if this video was helpful to you or not, and in what way. The feedback will be useful if I decide to do another project like this again (it's a lot of work, though, so no promises).

INFO, TIPS, AND STRATEGY FOR SKILL LEVEL: Advanced
The main strategy in this video is similar to the High-Intermediate strategy... with the addition of a strategy at the end of Phase 1 to make it easier to get both the battery and a Red or Blue Powerup for the beginning of Phase 2.
Summary of the High-Intermediate strategy: use Flamethrower against Justice as much as possible by dodging, strafing, and especially circling, and supplement your damage by using Blue or Red Powerups. Circle and strafe in Phases 1 and 3; stay on the clockwise side of Justice in Phase 2 (see High-Intermediate video description for more info).
Additional strategy (what):
1) Grab the battery at the end of Phase 1 by walking into Justice right after he gets stunned (he won't be able to attack you while stunned). Don't do this at the end of Phase 2, though, and just circle around him to get the battery, instead.
2) After getting the battery (see 1, above), you can easily steer Justice in any direction you want. If you can, steer him to a spot slightly counter-clockwise of a Blue Powerup.
3) I'd recommend using Blue Powerups in Phases 1 and 3, and Red for Phase 2.
Additional strategy (why):
1) At the end of Phase 2, the stun time is shorter, and the Evil Helos will appear fairly close to Justice... so if you walk into Justice, there's a lot more danger of getting hit. Instead, I'd recommend moving away from Justice, seeing where the Evil Helos appear, and dodging around them to get back close to Justice.
2) You want Justice to end up counter-clockwise of the Powerup, so when you pick it up, you'll be clockwise of Justice. Aiming for Blue means you'll end up with either a Red Powerup (what you probably want), or a Blue one (which is also okay).
3) Red isn't that good for Phase 1, because the Firepower drones will tend to shoot directly into Justice's shields. Red is pretty useful for Phase 2, however (as seen in this video). I think Blue is the most generally useful in Phase 3 (defense, offense, and healing), but Red can also be useful, mainly because it lasts so much longer than Blue.
Things to practice:
From the Beginner video: Practice getting up quickly after getting knocked down (use two buttons instead of one); practice switching to and firing your secondary weapon right after getting up.
From the Low-Intermediate video: Practice waiting for colored Powerups to change color; wait by Yellow to get Blue.
From the High-Intermediate video: Practice circling Justice without getting too close.
Other tips:
From the Beginner video: Don't attack Justice's front arms in Phase 1 (he's wearing shields).
From the Low-Intermediate video: Leave one or two Powerups on the field before finishing Phase 1, so you'll have them to pick up during Phase 2.
Additional:
- Some tips about the leash-globes. After a leash-globe leashes you, it will pull you in a straight line, and the others will ignore you. The others won't try to leash you unless you destroy the one currently leashing you. So if you're not in any immediate danger (i.e. the globe is not dragging you towards a laser), it's sometimes better to ignore the globe that has leashed you, because if you destroy it immediately, another globe will leash you, and that one might pull you directly towards a hazard (which the first one wasn't doing). Instead, you should attack the other nearby globes, or attack Justice, then deal with the globe that's leashing you when it's a little safer to do so. Once you get the hang of this, it can be pretty useful, because it allows you to do some extra damage to Justice by staying close to him while he releases the globes (I do that in this video), instead of staying further away from him and strafing the globes from afar (which I did in the High-Intermediate video).
Hope that helps, and good luck!
