BTW, I don't know if I'd personally describe the core group of Early Access players as having been actually angry about the number of reapers in that earlier version of Focus. =) By the time reapers were added to the game, we were all pretty experienced with AAC, and while that version of Focus was pretty challenging, it wasn't so challenging that we couldn't make it through. ^_^

On the other hand, though, a first-time player getting to Focus for the first time almost certainly wouldn't have had quite as many hours in the game as we did... and expecting them to go from "not knowing what reapers are" to "handling three reapers at a time in the middle of a battle that'd be hectic even without the reapers"... all in the span of a single level... was probably a bit too much to ask. ^^;;

Hmm, looking back, it seems my initial comment about reapers was "I like these, but I think the learning curve is currently a litte too steep, especially for first-time players." =) And I think Sylaris also commented with similar sentiments. And apprently, SMishra agreed with us, since the learning curve was eventually made a bit kinder for the first-time player. =)

Oh, and if anybody's curious, among my first reactions to the leash-dogs: "I think it'd be amusing if these dogs aren't actually acting maliciously, but are simply trying to be friendly... and they simply don't realize that their leashes can get you into trouble. =)"
