There are 5 areas in the campaign of Assault Android Cactus, and having just finished the Venom boss fight, I thought it'd be a good idea to record my blind attempts at beating the following stages. I'm glad I did so, as this provided a stronger contrast between the issues I had taking down the boss compared to playing basic stages in the game. Since the bosses are a large, central target it's easier to focus on them and the attacks they launch out. Compare this to stages where enemies will come from all directions, some using close-up attacks, others launching projectiles into the sky to crash on red targets on the ground, some shooting bullets right at you, while others have long-distance laser beams. That's a lot to take in and account for at almost all times.

Aside from all the objects on screen, another key complaint I have about these stages is that they go on for too long. The earlier stages in the game are much shorter, but later on the difficulty is increased not only with stage hazards and tougher enemies. They also make them last longer, which means you have more opportunities to miss a crucial battery pick-up or to accumulate too many deaths and drain your power.
