The easiest way I found was to only use my gatlin gun (machine gun) on a wall at the beginning of the 1st level. Then I used the flame thrower for the rest of the level. Make sure you skip the underground zone. You can use the flame thrower as much as you would like, the percentage only counts bullets. VERY EASY!!!
