Asterigos: Curse of the Stars - RTX 2060 / Ryzen 2600 - FSR 2.0 1620p High Settings
Asterigos: Curse of the Stars gameplay benchmark running on an RTX 2060 and a Ryzen 2600, using RivaTuner Statistics Server to display info on the top of the screen.
Resolution is set to , running internally at 2880x1620. Graphics settings have been set to the Quality setting, and FSR 2.0 set to Quality Mode. The game runs exclusively on DirectX 12.
The game has a relatively simple artstyle, but is still decently demanding on the GPU. Still, you're getting between 80 to 100 FPS here, so if you have a 1080p monitor and want to increase visual quality while maintaining solid performance, consider running the game at this resolution and downscaling it to your native resolution.
The game makes very good use of the CPU, which is fantastic to see... but unfortunately the game suffers from shader compilation issues, which means that you get a momentary stutter whenever the game displays an effect for the first time.
The developers also did a solid job with their FSR 2.0 implementation, which in Quality Mode I think is practically a free 15% to 20% boost in framerate. It still suffers from certain effects such as the weapon streaks looking rough and aliased, but it avoids disocclusion issues and only has very minor ghosting issues in some animations.
Balanced and Performance Modes still look fine, but image stability and motion clarity takes a hit, so I don't find them good enough to function as a straight replacement for native resolution.
