Funny beat-em-up by Konami based on the famed French comic series of Asterix and Obelix, two Gaul heroes trying to fight Caesar's Roman occupation. Asterix is a short guy and Obelix, his best friend, is a burly, fat, tall guy. If you play 2 player simultaneous play, note that you can hurt (but not quite kill) each other, but can also team up to throw the other player in a more damaging body splash attack. Various soldiers, horsemen, gladiators and boss characters stand in your way of freeing your country from Caesar's oppressive rule. The goofy humor of the French series is completely intact here, as you can slam your enemies on the ground by their legs, slap them around, get a kiss from Panacea that makes the enemies blush for a second, etc. Even if you don't follow the French series (or all its media incarnations), you should have a fun time with this one.
