Welcome back everybody! To Let's play ASTRONEER gameplay, part 4. In ASTRONEER we can build two types of different vehicles, land and space. The starting land vehicle in ASTRONEER is an rover, a little car jeep type that can help us explore even further away from our base as we don’t need to connect it with the cables. The Rover alone in ASTRONEER will serve as a life support system with power and air for our astronoer. However to make the vehicles in ASTRONEER we need to first build a vehicles assembly for that we need to gather aluminium – as we did in the previous episode how with the vehicle assembly module we can start building vehicles. All the land vehicles have slots for modifications we can build from the vehicle assembly station or from the printer also the vehicles come in build in battery so there is no realy need to make a new one from the printer. However there is a cool trick we can use in ASTRONEER, the vehicles have an build in battery but they don’t have a build in power source generator. We can try to use the small solar we normally build on our astronomer just as we did at the beginning in the previous episodes of ASTRONEER. Also the vehicle assembly can build a Shuttle that serve as a basic space vehicle in ASTRONEER. The rovers can be powered by attaching a solar panel in to one of the slots. However the rov ers have a little issue, and little been the important word here. The Rover is the smaller vehicle in ASTRONEER so that means we can’t attach too much at it for exploring planets an important note is that the rover can be powered from the power deposits we can gather using the tool in ASTRONEER. With the rover constructed we need to find a way to use it.
How to drive the rover ? Well You first need a seat. To build the seat in ASTRONEER we need to build one in the printer or manufacture one directly on a vehicle from the vehicle assembly module in our base. Another issue with the rover is that he can be easily affected by the terrain as it’s the smaller vehicle and it can be easily throwed in to air by the rocks if we drive on them too fast. Exploring the planet with the rover will alow us to easily access bigger amounts of resources and reasearch items for the laboratory module in ASTRONEER. However keep in mind the planet is big in ASTRONEER and you can easily get lost also going with the rover underground is not exactly the best idea as underground there is no sun, and therefore powering the rover with the solar is not an option only the batteries and the gathered power from the nature zone of the planet. Keep in mind also the beacons won’t be seen all the time while exploring so You may want to leave a little track of where to find your way back to the base otherwise you may get lost in the middle of nowhere making beacons may be an option here as the beacons can extend the track of our way away from the base. The Rover also as other land vehicles can be powered back if we connect it to the base if we use the cable, if connected to our base it will train power from it and power up its own battery that means if we will run the rover only on batteries without attaching a solar panel to it we will have from time to time return back for recharge the rover.
