Welcome back everybody! To Let's play ASTRONEER gameplay, part 5. Its time to explore the ASTRONEER Planet using the rover! But there is a twist, we can connect rover to an rover to make a train vehicle in ASTRONEER! That means more loading space for us as the rover is the smallest land vehicle for us for now to use we need something bigger we need… A truck! The truck unlocks in ASTRONEER after finding the research in one of the research items around the planet, probably the best option is to look for spacecraft wrecks and gather materials from them as they give you access to the best technologies of ASTRONEER. For the starting planet we have in ASTRONEER using the rover train is a little bit difficult because of the rocks, the rocks effectively stop the rover from takeing on speed and fast effective exploring. Also the rover is not able to pull more then 2 vehicles at the same time, that means if the rover train is more then two vehicles in total then the exploring will be painful – for now we need to stick for exploring the planet in two rovers. Also remember to attaché a solar panel to it for faster exploring, as the solar panel can effectively harvest energy from the sun during the day for night exploring if needed but also the solar panel is powerful enough to power up the rover for exploring and power up the battery supply on the rover aswell. Using the wind turbine is not actually the thing in a vehicle as the wind is not that common on this planet but also the vehicle will move all the time and the winds move in ASTRONEER aswell so we may miss each other all the time, the solar panel is better in terms of recharging power to the rover, How to make the solar panel – You need to find the right research from the research objects found around the world – the solar panel itself is made In the printer and is the most effective way to generate power without fuel right now in ASTRONEER. After a few trips we will find the crashed spaceship and within in the research box containing the truck. The truck is way bigger version of the rover and will serve us great as a exploring and transporting vehicle in ASTRONEER its also way better in going over rocks because of the bigger wheels it haves. Not like the rover who is just too small to make it an effective way to travel around. Also I have discovered the way to use the terraformed tool the right way, the terrafor tool have in total three mods of working. Digging, filling and leveling. All of those tools can be used or to Fortify our base to defend ourselves from sand storms or we can use those the leveling tool to make bridges and platforms, the digging and filling tool can be sued to make ramps to access new areas on the planet such as caves and spaceships stuck in rocks aswell. Speaking of spaceships the wrecks should always have at least resources for us to use or an research item. If You find a wreck in ASTRONEER the best option is to search it and dig around it in order to find other smaller wrecks we can mine out for additional benefits – its always easier to harvest lithium from wreck or titanium ten search for it or trade for it at the tradeing platform.
