Welcome back Everybody! To Let's play Osiris: New Dawn - gameplay – part 11. Since the newest update in Osiris: New Dawn we now don’t only have to worry about our heath or suit but also water and food as the astronaut will have to eat! We can make him eat vegetables such as as carrots or potatoes that we start in Osiris: New Dawn or we can go out hunting and gathering space berries. In terms of hunting in Osiris: New Dawn we can hunt basically eve-rything expect for the Gnat or the Arachnoids and parasite as those may not come with any meat source. Hunting however is not everything we need to do in order to prepare the meat in Osiris: New Dawn. We also need to cook it to avoid food poisoning, the basic meat can be done at the furnace however more advance recopied can be done only at the kitchen in the habitat. With the meat in store we can think about getting more safe and reliable source of food. Farming is an option in Osiris: New Dawn tho it requires a lot more of preparation be-fore it will give any food it’s a worth to start farming as soon as possible to get the most bene-fits of safe food that does not try to bite back in Osiris: New Dawn.
First to make the farming plorts in Osiris: New Dawn we will need a working base with a fabricator and a habitat to make the needed the required materials. How to build the Bio Dome ? To build the Bio dome we need to attach it to the Habitat. The habitat itself is needed to connect the bio dome to the rest of the base as the airlock wont work for the Bio dome. If we will try just to build the Bio Dome outside in Osiris: New Dawn the game will give us an error and point out we need to have coupler wall – Thoes can be build only on the walls of the habitat, to build the coupler wall we need to use the multitool and scroll through wall options on the habitat, if we already have a habitat with normal walls we can just destroy one wall section and replace it with the coupler wall. The bio dome itself will require the following resources:
12 Steel
22 Glass
10 Plastic
15 Rubber
With those materials we can build a bin inside it. Here comes the tricky part. To start farming in Osiris: New Dawn we need to make soil, the soil comes from the chemical station and we need sand and the material from the Excrement collector. Problem is we need to wait almost 30 min to make use from it. To find sand in Osiris: New Dawn we need a shovel that can be made at the furnace and just dig at any place to acquire sand. Now with the soil the bio dome ready and the bins inside of the bio dome we can start filling up the bins with soil! The last reminding part to start farming in Osiris: New Dawn are seeds. Seeds are right now quite rare at this stage of the game. However we can try to gather berries for seeds from the nearby trees near the place I found for the perfect base. The seeds will then grow in to plants and be ready. In terms of water I found out the best way to keep the character in Osiris: New Dawn hydrat-ed is to place the water reclamer in side the habitat and use it from time to time. Every five minutes we can fill ourselves with water for survival on Osiris: New Dawn.
