Since the shredder won't do it's job, it's up to you fellow Astroneer. Attach a Smelting Furnace to the stubborn platform that won't go away, power it, and then feed an explosive gas (Hydrogen, Methane, or Sulfur) into the Smelter.

Your platform is now gone. Along with anything directly attached to the platform. (Anything attached to something attached to the platform will survive, like the Medium Storage Trays attached to the Large Storage Unit attached to the Platform).
