ASUS M5A99X Evo Motherboard with UEFI BIOS - Unboxing & Look at
Unboxing and Look at ASUS M5A99X Evo AM3+ Motherboard with UEFI BIOS which I purchased from Aria for £122.
UEFI BIOS provides a fancy GUI interface with mouse control, and also support for 3Tb+ Hard Drives.
It comes with latest AMD 990X and SB950 Chipsets
The board works very well in Ubuntu 11.04 with Linux Kernel 2.6.38, and even better in Ubuntu 11.10 with kernel 3.0.
It can boot off USB Boot Disks created in UNetBootIn.
Things not working correctly:
Two USB devices of mine (SD card reader and one basic Flash drive)
Temperature sensors are way off in Ubuntu (likely a driver issue)
