Tutorial on how to set a Static / Fixed IP Address in Ubuntu.
Useful if you have complex settings on your firewall, or for business that have a pool of fixed IP address to use.
Its alwo a good idea in terms of security to turn DHCP off and use static IP addresses, that way it limits who can connect to your network.
