The best laptop at CES 2024 isn’t a laptop - Well, at least not in the traditional sense.

This is the Asus Zenbook Duo, a dual-display hybrid with a detachable keyboard. It’s quite possibly the most versatile portable PC we’ve ever come across.

Not only is it a great laptop, it’s also a great desktop machine. Detach the keyboard, unfold the kickstand and you can work with twin 3K OLED 120Hz touchscreens in either landscape or portrait mode.

We saw something similar with the Lenovo Book Yoga 9i. But while the Lenovo required a fiddly case to keep it propped up, the Asus Zenbook Duo packs a sturdy, built-in kickstand.

Sure, it’s bulkier than your average ultraportable but 1.65kg for the whole lot won’t weigh you down too much - especially compared to transporting a laptop and portable external monitor.

It’s not outrageously pricey either, with prices for the Asus Zenbook Duo starting at £1,700.
