In which I play "Monkey Magic", published by Micro Design in 1987. I often credit the various people behind the game. In this case I'll let you read the names from the Atari Mania site, or from the game itself. This is a good-looking game with nice music. Sadly, that's where the praise has to end. The game itself is terrible.

It consists of a single "tree" level which is ripped almost straight out of "Kangaroo" (the idea of it, anyway), where the only difficulty comes from having to make pixel-perfect moves, and the player loses a life from things that should not be fatal, like stepping slightly too far along a branch...not off the branch...just slightly too far along. There's a "shooter" level where the player essentially cannot move and has to shoot some birds, or something.

Rinse and repeat.

I would have been angry to have paid actual money for this back in the day.
