Atari 8-Bit Game Play, Cube
6In which I play "Cube", published by Raindorf Soft, and written by Andreas Binner and Harald Schoenfeld. This is a 3D space-shooter where the game consists of flying along a series of cubes floating in space, flying through a cube gives the player's ship a fuel boost. Every so often an enemy ship approaches and tries to ram the player's ship. If they succeed, control and other things are degraded. Shoot those dirty rats! Between levels some repairs are made. And ... that's about it. It's kind of interesting, and I certainly would have thought it was cool back in the day, but it lacks depth.
