Atari 8-Bit Game Play, Timeslip
In which I play "Timeslip", published by the English Software Company in 1986, and programmed by Jon Williams. This is an excellent game which I got properly into for the first time in my life. I've played it a little bit before, but didn't really get to grips with what the goal is, and how to go about it. There are three zones you can play in and each of them has its own timeline. While you are in one, the clocks are not running in the other two. You can choose which to play after you collide with something, which takes away from the total time available. There is a set limit of time to complete the objectives in all of the three zones.
I don't think this game originated on the Atari computers, but I suspect this is the best of the 8-bit conversions. It plays really really well, and is tremendously colourful.
