🎵 Atomic Heart - Hamtler
Atomic Heart (アトミックハート, Atomikkuh Hāto) is a single-player first-person shooter developed by Mundfish and published by Focus Entertainment and 4Divinity. The game was released for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on February 21, 2023.
The game is set in an alternate history 1955 at Facility 3826, the Soviet Union's leading research center. In this world, a scientist named Dmitry Sechenov developed the Polymer, a programmable liquid module that revolutionized energy and robotics, freeing people from manual labor. However, World War II brought the Brown Plague virus, creating a demand for Soviet robots. Sechenov created Kollektiv 1.0, a networked AI, and THOUGHT neuroconnector to connect humans to robots. But on the launch day of Kollektiv 2.0, chaos erupts as the robots turn rogue. Major Sergey "P-3" Nechayev is tasked with uncovering the truth behind this, leading to a complex web of conspiracies involving mind control, hidden memories, and a struggle for power.
In 2021, two years prior to the release of Atomic Heart, the developers stated that they already had plans for a sequel. In June 2023, Mundfish's studio head officially confirmed the development of a sequel.
The games soundtrack was composed by multiple composers such as Andrey Bugrov, Mick Gordon, Geoffrey Day, and Christian Ugenti.
