Hey everyone! In this video I dive into what I believe is an issue with the attacker class in Zenless Zone Zero. I explore the pattern where event attackers like Ellen, and Zhu seem to be designed with a heavy reliance on accumulating special resources for effective damage output, and the game imposing a very low base count for procuring said resources while selling us the solution for the limitiations it itself imposed in the form of Mindscapes
I compare this to anomaly agents like Yanagi and Miyabi, who seem to have more straightforward and potent mechanics even without their M1 enhancements, highlighting a potential imbalance in character design. I discuss how attackers struggle to match up with their anomaly counterparts due to these mechanics among others and express hope that future attackers, starting possibly with Evelyn, might adopt a more balanced approach similar to the anomaly agents.
This isn't a critique out of dislike but stems from a love for the attacker role, aiming for constructive feedback to enhance future gameplay. PS: I am 100% sure there are a bunch of people that enjoy attackers just fine at M0 and that the feeling of clunk is very subjective. This is just one of many ideas i have to improve attackers
