Modding is like cooking, many ways to do the same thing and not every way is best or worst way. This is typically how I approach making things. This is less of a tutorial and more of an overview. It is likely not the best way, and not the best video to explain it, just a way that works for me.

-As usual, a few minutes after stopping the video I found the error that was holding me up.

-New to modding, and concerned you are not a math person, science person, or generally knowledgeable in computer programming.. I am none of those things.

Things used in this video for exporting jbeams from Blender and links to other useful things I use..

For scale - Extract the DAE and just place somewhere like desktop. Import that dae into blender for a game vehicle shell used for scale purposes.

Also should point out my level of understanding in modding is just slightly above the level of someone smarter than one sack of rocks. I make basic mods typically that can be done in hour, sometimes a few. Full car modding, I am not the one to ask. I do not explain more advanced techniques, because I do not know them yet.
