
Automatic walking caused by glitch subroutine at 0E:6BF8; sound bank 0x0E (Pokémon Yellow EN VC)
Notes: This will not work outside of 3DS Virtual Console on Game Boy/Color/Advance/etc. (where the game will freeze) because of inaccurate emulation on the 3DS Virtual Console that enables the game not to freeze. It also might be a form of walk through walls?
At 0E:6BF8 are four invalid (0xD3) opcodes, but if these are skipped over (as the Nintendo 3DS moves over them), the game runs; or e or e ld h,e ld h,e jp 03C3, and this automatic walking effect is enabled.
This glitch requires changing the sound bank to 0x0E (possibly a glitch bank) and then bumping into a wall. You can probably do it with the expanded inventory by messing with item 32; setting it to Awakening, and maybe altering item 31 quantity.
Note this glitch will not work in all places, and I only have got it to work in the Viridian City Pokémon Center so far. The current sound bank is stored at C0EF, and the stored sound bank at C0F0, so using a glitch to change them, it's possible to perform this glitch.
