Ivy really had a rough go of it in the last tournament, matching up against a dodge tank and a magic tank, two of her worst enemies. But now that she gets to fight other units, she's pretty darn good. First of all, she gets access to Lyn's Emblem Ring since she canonically has it in Engage. This gives her some much needed bonuses to her stats, specifically to her Skl and Spd. She does get close to 60 Spd with the bonuses, but she still has some problems with hitting since her Lck growth is just terrible. Only 53 Skl and 31 Lck is just not going to cut it. And this is with taking 15% of her magic growth and allocating it towards her Skl/Lck to help it further. Not all is lost for her though because of her personal skill in Engage, Single Minded. This gives her access to +20 Hit (Insight in this case) but only after the first interaction between her and her opposition. So, she'll have to deal with the subpar hit rate for a turn before she benefits from it. Moving on from her flaws, let's move onto what she does really well. She has some very good bulk for a Mage type unit with 52 Def and 64 Res which will give her more chances to get that extra accuracy from Single Minded. However, because her class if a flier type class in Engage, that also brings along the weaknesses that they have in RD which makes that solid bulk look just a little bit worse. She also has 61 Mag, which with Astra, from Astra Storm, means she can do a ton of damage so long as she hits a decent chunk of them. This does also mean that units like Micaiah and Rafiel with ridiculous Res stats can completely wall her if she isn't using a staff to get through them. Her other skill that she has, Cancel, is one of the skills that works really well with a mastery skill that hits more than once. This helps her avoid some mastery procs on the counter attacks when she initiates. Her weapon that she's bringing over from Engage, Nova, also works well with both Astra and Cancel since it has the Brave Effect which gives her more chances to proc both of the skills each turn. Overall a very solid mage build for the Crown Princess of Elusia.

The unit with the higher base speed will initiate first. (If unit has Shade or Stillness they will always choose who goes first). If both units have the same speed, the unit whose video it is will go first.

For weapons, the unit who is faster chooses the weapon they want the unit they are attacking gets to choose a weapon to counter them with. The unit who attacks first, goes through all the possible weapon combinations and picks whatever situation would give them the best chance at victory. After the initial turn, the only time a unit can change their weapon is on their turn.
