Part 4 of my comprehensive video walkthrough of "Back to the Future: the Game - Episode 1: It's About Time". This part of the game is split into 2 parts, as you are given two separate objectives that can be completed in tandem. As such, I will be using two separate videos detailing the necessary steps to complete each objective. In this video, labeled 4A, we will be looking at how to serve Arthur McFly his subpoena.

As a forewarning, Telltale Games has put a lot of content into the game that is not mandatory to see. This content is generally extra jokes, references, and other witty dialogue that makes the game more enjoyable and fun. Because of this, I HIGHLY recommend every single player to explore EVERYTHING they can to get maximum enjoyment out of the game.

As an additional note, in some cases, a few steps in my guide can be swapped and the outcome will still be the same. Consider the guide as both a step-by-step walkthrough and a checklist of what needs to be done to advance the game. Finally, if I don't prompt any particular dialogue option, it means that it doesn't matter which one you select to get to the next section of the game.

Step-by-Step Guide

Hill Valley Town Square, 1931

@00:20 - Head over to the Barber Shop and have a nice chat with "Kid Tannen" (aka, "I guess I'm here to shine your shoes...")
@00:49 - Tell Kid that "I'm looking for Arthur McFly.", followed by asking "Isn't that Artie's hat?", then take a short break by asking , "Can I have some of those peanuts?", and finally giving Kid the slip by exclaiming "What the hell is that?!"
@02:48 - Use "Arthur's Hat" that you newly acquired from your Inventory on "Einstein", who is located by the tree in park area of town; this will automatically take you to the apartment area Arthur McFly is hiding at
@03:30 - Head back to "Town Square" by moving towards the right of the new map, Kid Tannen should re-emerge after getting cleaned up from his 'accident' ~Snicker~
@04:03 - Head over to the Barber Shop to initiate a 'confrontation' with Kid Tannen and his goon, Matches; they will chase you until Marty decides he wants to camp out on top of the gazebo in the park area
@04:39 - On the gazebo, pull out your "Tape Recorder" from your Inventory and use it on "Kid Tannen" to record his voice
@04:53 - Once you made the new recording (geeze, the Tape Recorder sees a lot of use in the game =p), click on "Einstein" to help you make your escape
@05:52 - Head back over to the apartments where Arthur McFly is hiding and click on the "Buzzer" by door where Einstein is lying down at
@06:06 - Grab your trusty "Tape Recorder" once more from your Inventory and Use it on "Arthur McFly"
@06:29- Pull out "Arthur's Subpoena" from your Inventory and serve it to "Arthur McFly"
