Part four of my comprehensive video walkthrough of "Back to the Future: the Game - Episode 1: It's About Time". This part of the game is split into 2 parts, as you are given two separate objectives that can be completed in tandem. As such, I will be using two separate videos detailing the necessary steps to complete each objective. In this video, labeled 4B, we will be looking at how to get Young Doc the fuel he needs.

As a forewarning, Telltale Games has put a lot of content into the game that is not mandatory to see. This content is generally extra jokes, references, and other witty dialogue that makes the game more enjoyable and fun. Because of this, I HIGHLY recommend every single player to explore EVERYTHING they can to get maximum enjoyment out of the game.

As an additional note, in some cases, a few steps in my guide can be swapped and the outcome will still be the same. Consider the guide as both a step-by-step walkthrough and a checklist of what needs to be done to advance the game. Finally, if I don't prompt any particular dialogue option, it means that it doesn't matter which one you select to get to the next section of the game.

Step-by-Step Guide

Hill Valley Town Square, 1931

@00:31 - Head into the Soup Kitchen for a cut scene
@01:52 - Head towards the back of the Kitchen for another cut scene
@02:31 - Click on the "Kitchen Door" by the back and try to force it open
@02:47 - Talk to "Emmett" afterward and tell him "I can't get into the kitchen."
@03:24 - Head towards the entrance of the Soup Kitchen until the "Kitchen Door" leaves view, at this point in time, Young Doc will say 'Eureka', signifying he has successfully pried open the door
@03:28 - Talk to "Cue Ball", the 'guard' of the kitchen who is reading the newspaper and and ask "Could I have some soup?" and then give a few suggestions on how he can spice up the soup some more (doesn't matter which option you select, they will all distract him)
@04:58 - While Cue Ball is distracted, click on the red "Pipe" near the entrance of the kitchen (and thus the trusty Tape Recorder is used again!)
@05:58 - Leave the Soup Kitchen after you see Edna pick up the 'barrel of hooch'
@06:13 - Head over to the park area and have a nice chat with "Edna", asking her "What's the scoop?"
@06:52 - Ask her "What's the Stay Sober Society?" next, then tell her that "I know where the Stay Sober Society can meet!", answering her next question with "At the Brown Residence."
@07:52 - Next, ask Edna "You make soup deliveries?", followed be telling her that "I can help deliver soup!", and then tell her "I know a charity that needs a soup delivery.", concluding with the answer "The Stay Sober Society!"
@09:18 - When questioned by Young Doc afterward, tell him that "They're sober.", followed by "They'll be quiet.", and finally force Young Doc's hand with "Okay then. Forget the whole thing."
