Now this was an interesting fight. This is probably the most infamous of all Chains of Promathia fights before the level cap removal. This battlefield has a time limit of 45 minutes and requires three separate fights.

The first fight requires you to fight five Mammett-22 Zetas. These are apparently weaker versions of the Mammetts you fight in Chains of Promathia mission 2-5, so these shouldn't pose any threat at level 90 at all. Just don't attack it when they are using Transmogrification and this should be a short fight.

Omega is when things start getting tricky. It's easy to keep shadows up initially but things get more and more difficult as the fight goes on. Omega gains more attack speed and its en-stun can provide problematic unless you focus on keeping shadows up. This is complicated by the fact that it has a Throat Stab like move called Pile Pitch. Just stay focused and have a Cure V handy whenever you see Pile Pitch go off.

UItima is a true pain in the butt because of his absurd defense value from Particle Shield. A combination of Auspice and Afflatus Misery will help by pass this defense somewhat thanks to the en-light. Nuclear Waste combined with the next elemental attack can be problematic too, but shouldn't be hard to survive if you have over 1K hp when he uses it. Having a small PDT/MDT set to tank any sort of bad statuses can be useful too. Things really hit the fan when Ultima starts getting to low HP and has a particularly high regain rate (feels like 50-100 tp/tick) which leads to back to back TP attacks. This is compounded by the fact it likes to fire back to back Antimatters which can cause between 200 to 500 damage per use, even to a level 90 WHM. At this point in time, I'd recommend switching to Afflatus Solace and spamming Cure V and Mystic Boon and just outlasting Ultima until you defeat the mob.

You do get a free HP and MP restore after each fight, so use that to your advantage. TP is lost between fights too, so don't worry about saving TP. Go all out when you can to finish the fight quickly and progress to the next fight.

Overall, this was a very fun fight. This was my first attempt, hence when I only used a Meat Mithkabob, but it was successful, so I ran with it. Knowing how much defense Ultima could get up to though, I would've definitely used a red or yellow curry bun for the fight just to make it shorter.

Also speed up to 2x speed so you won't have to wait 24 minutes to see the whole fight, woo =p
