Simmons (or whoever the person on the phone really is) has made good on the threat to release a new virus in Tall Oaks. Incidentally, Ada has reason to visit the town in her investigation into what exactly is happening. Meeting up with her on again off again ally, Leon Kennedy, she happens across the results of a twisted experiment spearheaded by a man who just didn't know how to let go of something that was never his to begin with.

Resident Evil 6 is the somewhat controversial 6th numbered game in the mainline Resident Evil series. Released in 2012, the game tells a story spanning multiple countries and character perspectives, weaving an interlocking tale about a conspiracy with connections to the highest office of the US government. Told across 4 seperate campaigns with 7 (or 8) playable characters, RE6 is a long and sometimes tiring experience. Berated for shifting more toward action horror than survival horror, the game has received a reassessment in the years since, and has gained its own fanbase amidst the larger Resident Evil fandom as a whole.
