Bacon Man: An Adventure Quick Play (Alpha)
Let's Play Bacon Man: An Adventure (Quick Play)! An indie action platformer adventure game about a man made of bacon in development by Skymap games. It's a 3 developer team for now as far as I know, but they do have a kickstarter in the works you can check out!

Bacon Man's Story:
"There's a conspiracy brewing in the world of Nomround. Old King Roast Beef has been brutally murdered, and his obviously innocent grandson Bacon Man has been framed by the Food Kings. Escape the clutches of evil, gather allies, and help Bacon Man restore his rightful place on the Meat Throne. "
Featuring music by Kyle Landry and Braxton Burks.
Keep in mind Bacon Man is in it's alpha stage, which means it may still be a little rough around the edges... that being said what is here looks like it could be a fun little food-themed platforming romp.
Bacon Man's game play so far is pretty solid, but I did have some troubles with the up+X move in the air where Bacon Man puts out his knee. It gives Bacon man a little unnecessary forward momentum which had me sailing into danger a few times. If it handled more Like Captain Falcon's Knee in Smash Bros. it would be pretty cool. The air juggling feels pretty good and satisfying once you get the hang of it.
Bacon Man reminds me a lot of Earthworm Jim, especially once you get Bacon Man's signature Toaster Gun. The gameplay, and even the level and character style reminds me of Earthworm Jim's quirky presentation.
So yeah! Thanks to Skymap games for sending me the alpha of Bacon Man to test out, and I hope you enjoyed my hands on! :)
